ORIGINAL WWII PERRY SPORTSWEAR INC. 1756 TYPE A-2 (USAAC)

Nothing cooler than a patched flight jacket. This A-2 was made by Perry Sportswear Inc. under contract no. W33-038AC 1756, in fiscal year, 1943. This would be the 3rd and last contract of Perry for the A-2.

The condition of this jacket is great, considering it’s over 80 years old. All parts are original to the jacket. The leather is very supple and has developed a beautiful patina.
The liner shows some wear in the collar area, other than that, it is solid. Spec tag is mint. Knits show some areas of wear, but still in solid condition. M-40 Conmar zipper works flawlessly.

Right chest depicts a beautiful and very rare embroidered USAAC roundel patch.

Enjoy this beauty!

Regards,
Jorge

Just looking closeup at the lining near the collar to s this a redye job
No, the jacket hasn't been refurbished. That is its original color, the dark spots on the collar are just result of body oil from the neck, not paint. The color inside the pocket matches the rest of the jacket. More conclusive is a small rip on the shoulder area where you can see the original dark color of the leather (last pic). There are no traces that it has been a re-dyed.
