Original first contract rw

Saw this a few days ago on eb. It’s a pre war first contract rough wear tha is in wearable condition if the knit elements a liner are replaced. If I remember correctly, only 7500 of theses were made in 1940. The tag reads size 38, but if anyone is considering bidding on it to wear ask for measurements from the seller.
