ORIGINAL BRILL BROS., INC TYPE G-1 INTERMEDIATE FLIGHT JACKET MIL-J-7823D DSA-100-68-C-1805

Finding New Old Stock examples never gets old. This Vietnam era G-1 was made by Brill Bros., Inc under contract no. 100-68-C-1805 in fiscal year, 1968. It is from the "D" series which is considered by many collectors as the last of the good series.

After this series, the mouton fur collar was replaced by dynal fur (synthetic) and in some cases the goatskin was replaced by cowhide with printed pebble grain to simulate the goatskin texture.

The condition of this jacket is superb. All parts are original to the jacket.

Goatskin leather is supple.

The mouton fur collar is pristine, and comes in a rusty shade.

Inside lining is spotless.

Scovill zipper is mint and working perfectly.

Knits are solid, which is rare even for N.O.S. examples.

As a bonus, the inspector tag is still present, which is another indicator that this jacket has never been worn.

Needless to say, finding examples in this condition is becoming harder and harder.

Hope you guys enjoy it!

Regards,
Jorge

Great jacket ! Same series as mine (got also a NOS one ) There seems to be a few more rare birds around here…
I’m curious to know why on your NOS the collar is already in a rusty shade compared to mine which is dark chocolate…I thought they should respect color specification and the rusty color came from the effect of the sun over time…
