Original Aero A2 part 2

Hi guys, now I'm properly home I could take a proper look at the original Aero I bought, absolutely beautiful, didn't need much doing to it, I just went over it with some sapo oil but its very supple, the collar wear inside and liner wear back of collar and armpits are consistent with been really used properly, who knows what the story is for the past 80 years, the brass talon zipper is like butter, no teeth loss, even has the original lieutenant bars on each epaullette, and fit, great, I'll do a pic of it on later, I will wear it occasionally but not all the time even though its a good wearer here's some new pics, all said and done I'm still in shock I'm the owner of this after that silly auction price

Anyone notice the factory misaligned pocket flap right side haha wasn't this discussed before? I had this on my original Perry years ago

I wrote in a thread, some time ago that the only oddity Regarding a-2 pockets placements that I have not seen, is seeing them stitched on the back of an a-2.

Guys do you think the zipper has been replaced? It's brass not steel and the puller straight and not bell shaped, it doesn't look like it's been replaced and research dates the puller from late 30,s to mid 40,s no complaints though if it has

Haha I agree Burt, incidentally this Aeoro is so much lighter than the reproduction Japanese horsehide A2 I have, total joy to wear

Nice looking A-2! Hard to tell unless we can see a clear pic of the stopper box. From what I can see, it looks like a 50's - 60's Talon to me. Again, nice jacket!

So a replacement zipper Grant, puller has Talon, USA at back and here's the box

Great, the puller on mine is late 40,s not 50,s as the bottom isn't rounded it's square so a later 40,s replacement
