Dye lines on the red waistband are consistent with a wartime depot redye. A depot visit would account for the Conmar zip as well--but not those cuffs.

Looks like the name tag got hit too, shouldn't that be new to a redye? And no SSI decal. A little sketchy don't ya think?

Im gonna tell a friend about this, his dad's first name was Arthur, and last name Wagner... And Dr. Arthur was a B-24 driver (93d BG) late in the war, so he could wear the name tag and it would sorta be close to his dad even with name reversed.
