Yes it is indeed the MSA type C. I always wanted to get a type D but they are hard to get.

What kind of helmets do you collector? I only collect WWII Navy flight helmets.

I guess my masks are not the D type then.
I collect most all WWII flight helmets. Navy, Army Air Corps, and a few British, and German ones.
