Hi Soren, your jacket now sort of drapes and folds similar to mine though I am a "puny" size 40. My Real Deal is russet horsehide with rust knits.
On mine all the panels are quite heavily grained at the top and run less grainy to almost smooth to the bottom on both body and sleeve panels. So there is some method in panel matching. Also there is no tag in the pocket and made by the same seamstress as yours. Does yours have these features?

My jacket is fairly and nicely grainy all over on front and sleeves - and less grainy on the back. Which IMO only makes it special.
No tag in pocket either.
It hasn't had a lot of use because the weather turned "IRVIN" quite suddenly over here (which is great
) - but I do look forward to give it some use and patina in the spring.
