The Museum of Flight had an event this last weekend discussing the Brecourt Manor assault. Don Malarky and Buck Compton were there and they had discussed that Dick Winters wasn't doing too good. I know they will miss their "brother" and comrade.

'Hero' is a term we use too lightly these days - footballers, rock stars etc but guys like him deserve every acolade possible - humble guys they may be/have been but the Spielberg/Hanks production is a superb testimony/legacy to the man.
