Oh no, not again....
It is NOT Josef Priller's jacket. NOTE photo 1. The front zippers are zipped to the wrong direction, they should have the zipper pulls at his main zipper while closed. This is reversed. When the pocket is opened the pulls would be at the back. The zippers were shorter in length than his pocket flaps. They should be 5 inch not 7 inches. The Zipper Tape should not be exposed canvas at all, his zippered pocket had double leather reinforced stitching, as well as a beaded leather line, this is only a singular stitch line Also, he had a Pilots badge in cloth under his breast pocket. NOTE Photo 2. His Luftwaffe Insignia was much narrower blue field around the Eagle...not as much blue field like this one has. NOTE photo 3. The waist flap should be rounded not arrow shaped and was the same width as the bottom hem of the jacket not wider at the button. Note Photo 4. the cuff button, it is in the wrong direction and his was a snap NOT a button. It should be the other direction, point down not up.. The jacket sold on Rock Island has been reworked to deceive. Rock Island should have done their research. There are plenty of references. I also own 2 jackets just like Priller used. You had several versions of waist closures, the traditional metal buckle per the Hartman, snap crossover flap, or button flap. Then you also had the German copies which had a double snap crossover waist flap. Numerous styles of designs in the metal waist buckle....not including the actual waist belt and loop. I must have seen now some 50 variants since I GOT HOOKED ON THIS FROM YOU GUYS!!! It's all your fault! Made me a jacket junkie!Collectible Firearms for Serious Gun Collectors

Well, personally I have serious doubts that it's really Josef Priller's jacket, but it's still a nice jacket.
If I understand correctly, this claim is based exclusively on a name tag ?
