GW goatskin Dubow. I know too may people don't care for goat but the skins John's using are about as close as you can get to WWII issue.

Indeed, I have one also, and it's a great jacket. Not going to part with that one either!

Yeah, see Peter, I hate to have to tell you that goodwears make you look a ltttle fat, but what are friends for?. Tell you what, As we are similar sizes I will trade you a nice avirex (very authentic, check the labelling inside, packed with 40's info) and then you will look cool and I will just put up with the wrinkled up goodwear.

see what a friend I am to you? ;)

Oh Tim, how very, very, unexpectedly, and I might say, uncharacteristically kind of you. ;) But you know, I think I'll keep those GW's just for fatty old me, and nobody else. But as a matter of fact, I do have some old house ELC's that might suit your taste and bodysize. You could try those... And you know of course what you can do with your Avirex. Label with 40's info indeed. Man, on some of them the whole lining is a 40's encyclopidia. A kind of "avant la lettre" Wikiclurmanopedia. Nah, I already have read a book about that period.

Leather jackets are made for mishaps... My next-to-last one ended up with quite a lot of the red, red kroovy (mine) all over it after a mishap outside CBGBs. You can't buy that sort of character (but you can ask someone to kick you in the face)!

Great jacket, Cobblers - is that a Zippo in the pocket, by any chance?

Yeh, it's a repro 40's Zippo, I don't smoke but bought it just for the wear on the pocket, now how sad is that?

Aye the old claret can be a bugger to get out and I can't think of a cooler place to suffer such a mishap than outside cbgb's. How rock n' roll is that?
