Information about the jacket, POLO

Hi!
My name is Marcin, I am new to this forum and I apologize if in the wrong place I direct my question. More than 20 years ago my dad bought me a jacket in a second hand shop. At that time it was very special and now I think it is too. I would like to know more about this jacket, I know only the brand but writing to the manufacturer I did not receive an answer. You may know how much this jacket can actually be years Old (I think 1980-1990), what series of clothing it comes from, whether it's a particular style. Maybe someone has seen it before? Maybe someone has it? I will be very grateful to you for every hint where I can continue to look for information about the jacket. Thank you very much. Keep safe.

Certainly not military issue despite the patches making it look as if it could be. This is very much the type of jacket Ralph Lauren have done and still occasionally do but they actually do tend to follow military cut/styles, knowing I guess how popular and classic they are! My best guess would be this is purely a fashion jacket, poss bought by a keen aviation/space fan who has added the patches they like - maybe after seeing Top Gun!!
If you like it thats all that matters, especially if your Dad bought it for you and the Columbia Shuttle patch poss might be a clue to its age, whenever that was?

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately label on the liner is bad, can't read anything ‍♂️ Zipper slider is simple YKK. Only pocket flap and rivet fasteners are described "POLO".

That's what I thought. Confusing were the patches related to space, there is an American flag but NASA is missing. Lack of consistency in the subject, Everything points to the fashion theme of Pop culture, exactly as you wrote. Thank you very much for the answer. Yes, I have such a cool sentiment and cool memories for her. That seems the most important thing. The rest does not matter

It’s not Polo as in Ralph Lauren. It’s Polo Motorrad, a bike clothing company. Bit of history here:-

Yes I know, but nowhere can I find it in the historical photo. At least not on Google. I wrote to the manufacturer asking for information about what series of clothing comes from. Unfortunately, they did not respond.
