In response to an old thread about paint on cloth jackets...

My dry cleaner has a passing interest in US jackets, having a son who works in the US who knows some veterans.
To get rid of the musty odour of my 60 dated alpha big collar USAF field jacket I took it to him and, blees his heart he spent five days applying some solvent or other to all the yellow paint marks that I had accepted as being there forever. Without me asking, he worked on all the spots whilst processing other clothes just to keep himself busy and has all but eliminated them. at least 95% of the evidence of there having been paint is gone. the jacket has no odour and is essentially paint free. when I can find the camera charger I will post some pics.
he charged me flat rate of £6.99 and refused flat to accept extra.
paint can be removed from cloth :)
