In need of some pretty good khakis.

Hi All;
I don't post here too often, but follow the forum on a fairly regular basis and really enjoy all of of the great info. I'm looking for some nice, well made khakis, but don't really want to fork out the bucks for Bill's if I don't have to. Can you guys offer some suggestions? I've tried US Wings WWII repros, but found them no better than cheap mall pants. The last decent ones that I found were Red Head's from a Bass Pro Shop, but they don't carry them any more. I've seen Dickies in 100% cotton on line. Also Red Kap work pants and a couple of other makers of work wear. I'm looking for something in a heavy duty, regular fit, flat front, 100% cotton, semi military cut. Any suggestions? Thanks - Tom

Dockers K1 pants are being made to be like old military style, with extra heavy cotton twill cloth, button fly, and khaki colors, but not cheap. I have a pair of the tan colored ones.

This one would likely be the most authentic.

They also make a soft khaki, straight cut, nice cloth, very reasonable. I have a lot of these in different colors, but if you want khaki colored, get the carmel colored one. Cottonwood is a very light tan color.

Several sellers with access to the Bill's factory store, list the seconds on eBay.

My best buy was the $20.00 pair with a small hole. I could see that it was at about the 36" mark, on a 40" unhemmed leg, and no one else bid.
