I think you could be right. Pick does seem the strongest candidate of all the ones mentioned in the thread. Do we know when he was awarded his first star? He still a colonel in 1943. I'm guessing 1944.

Thanks guys, but this was a team effort. I was looking up info on Gen. Covell based on Ties's post and came across some references to Pick that IDed him as a brigadier in the CBI. A couple of google searches later and there you go. :cool:

That photo of him wearing the wool cap with general's star is priceless. Patton would have been sent into a whirling dervish if he saw that! And would have had had Pick writing on the blackboard ... :lol:
