Help With ID'ing a thrift shop A-2 Find

Are there any expert eyes that can ID this A-2?

It is a thrift-shop find from a friend who sent only a couple mobile phone snapshots. It has no tag or other identifying remarks that he could find aside from the pictured stencil.

The thrift shop owner claims it's a wartime jacket.

Well beyond my knowledge level, unfortunately, based on these limited photos.

It looks war time to me. I would venture to say it's a Dubow but I am no expert.

I'm not sure but the collar looks like a Star Sportswear.

Looks to me like a Dubow. The collar appears too pointy for a Star.

Also ep wrong for a Doni - the seam runs under the centre.

True, but at $350 it is cheaper than it would sell for on the Bay.

Without seeing detailed pics of the jacket it is hard to assess its condition, but $350 does not seem to be an OTT price IMO.
