I was only aware of them making the new A2 back in the 80's that was issued, but much later than WW2

Worded in a strange way, but I don't think they're trying to pass off as from WW2 because it's stated that the patches were added later and could possibly be WW2. The bullion 8th looks right as rain, and the squadron patch is very good if not real.
