very cool. I always liked hearing the stories being told by the guys who lived through it. Nice job. My grandfather was on the 4/13/44 mission to Schweinfurt. That one was not much better only one plane made it back from his squadron(545th BS 384th BG). His B-17 was shot down but he escaped and evaded.

The 306 th was the inspiration for the troubled group thet Peck took over as Gen. F. Savage in Twelve O' Clock High. Bierne Lay the author, took 306, tripled it to come up with the 918 th in the film, Peck's character was based on Col. Frank Armstrong
