It's a shame, there seem to be hundreds of nice original G1's for sale all over the net but almost always in size 40. 44 or 46 are rare these days

True, harder to find, but in the last few months only I saw a few very interesting early 50s to mid-60s USN jackets in bigger sizes [at very cheap prices]. These usually are sold in a max one hour.
