G1 Jackets Vertical USN perforation on windflap

Hi folk,
I recently bought a G1 jacket at good price, it has no label, zipper is Scovill, the collar is in dark brown mouton (probably synthetic), it has USN punched vertically on the windflap (U atop the S, and the S atop the N) it is not written as it is generally found: horizontally from left to right, from the bottom to the top.

All this information makes me think that it is a 1970s g1 probably Brill Bros, it’s that possible? Can anyone give me some more information (age, contract number)?

How about the strange vertical perforation “USN” on windflap?

Inside the jacket I have a writing "Burdette 9896" does anyone know what that means? Maybe there was some custom in writing inside the jacket?

Thanks a lot

This Cooper jacket is a commercial version… not military issued… IMHO.
I let others confirm or info.

Different manufacturers did it different ways. It’s vertical on my G-1. In fact most of the G-1’s I’ve owned have had it vertically.
