Hello Gentlemen,
found some old pictures while cleaning up my computer. They come from an ebay auction many years ago. This jacket has been offered several times. I think the retail price was $700. Does anyone here know this jacket or is the owner?
Thomas served as Secretary of the Navy between May 3, 1954, and April 1, 1957.
The label is interesting without a manufacturer and doesn't match the cut (pockets) of the jacket either. Contract 55J14 is late 40s/early 50s, but this looks MIL-J-7823.
I think it is a special manufacture.
Whats your opinion.
