I like 'em. I think that was the first helmet I ever bought, and mine's the same condition. I think that a lot of these managed to escape much use. Mine's tagged a large but only my boys can fit it, so it must have shrunk a ton over time.

It's so robust it makes for a great pretend prop.

Yeah, I've had extra larges in both shearling and cloth AAF helmets, and none have been anything remotely close to today's extra-large heads.

I know Eastman used to make B-2 caps in size 7 3/4; does anyone know if they made their flight helmets in that size also?
