• Hey guys, I had to upgrade the VLJ software because the old one is being phased out. Please let me know of any issues in the SITE UPDATE THREAD. Thanks!

ELC Horse oil

Has anyone else tried this product from ELC?
I just got a tub and gave my Monarch 352nd a good coat and it has come up beautifully.
Now glowing and a slightly darker russet shade which I was after.
Not oily and no scent.

Best leather treatment I’ve seen to date.
Not cheap though...

Would you please post a photo of the oil and your jacket. Would really like to find out more about this product .
Thanks Pete.

I coated every part open to the elements including the seams and stitching.
The difference in shade is minor but noticeable. I’ll add a pic of the inside pocket flap for comparison in a sec. I can’t tell any difference in the colour of the stitching.

It appears to add a bit of shine/sheen to your jacket? My wife said the new ELC Monarch looked 'dull' compared to my BR russet. After I smacked some sense into her (only joking.., but seriously WTF) I compared to the two and it was the case. Happy with the Monarch as is.. at the moment.

Does the product leave any kind of greasy feel to the leather after it’s been absorbed?

I've noticed in the last two days that the ELC Monarch is 'noisy'. Did the oil make a difference?

My BR stops creaking when I hit it with a leather wipe.

The Ladies here ( Korea and Japan) swear on it after giving birth to take away the stretch marks ...Apparently it works wonders if looking at them on the Hy.tt Pool.
Will try in on my WW2 leather jackets .
