Good choice. it will grow on you and a new leather always looks... less.. than when it has moulded to you and assumed some character.

The G1 is a fairly unique jacket and can look a little top gun if you aren't careful.
buy one when you can afford it if you feel you need to.

i was thinking about using some eastman conditioner to soften it up what do you think and yeah i might wait for a seconds or get a vintage g1 like roughwear suggested to me

Don't condition a brand new jacket.
enjoy the wear in process. Plain and simple.
