To lose entire crews, all with families and friends, would have had an accumulative effect and it is not hard to understand the opening scene in Catch 22.

Yes we do.....

It is funny to see our 'tradies' at the end of the day. The 'Black Handers' are covered in what should have been in the aircraft internals and the 'Boffins' are clean as a whistle. All those wires and circuit breakers make life a bit easier.

Stan Wray on the left, first commander of the 91st BG H - Wrays Ragged Irregulars - who initiated the "Order Of The Rigid Digit" which was awarded to those who had messed up. He had a number of silver medals minted, there are not many about but I have handled one or two. In the museum we had a large rigid digit statuette that had it's own glass display cabinet....
