Can someone help me identify this A-2 27753

Hi All

I recently acquired this A-2 jacket contract number 27753 And I’m trying to work out what it is. I know the original issued ones are unnamed and made by cable. I’m pretty certain this is a repro (may be wrong) but The jacket has no brand marking whatsoever and I have many repro A-2 jackets and am pretty certain also it is not an eastman or Aero.

The jacket has a Waldes zipper and i think the leather is horsehide from touch but I may be wrong. Jacket is high quality with stand collar and original style neck clip.

if anyone has any idea who has made this or any thoughts on the jacket please let me know

Cool, being new and no intro meant i’m not sure of your level of knowledge.

I do apologies. I Should have explained I have a fairly decent knowledge of military and repro gear and introduced myself better, just excited/baffled. I can usually figure this kinda of thing out easily but this jacket has got me lost

Just another quick note, I purchased it with a couple other Alexander leathers (simmons bilt) jackets and wondering if they maybe made this aswell?

Does not look like a Good Wear. The details are not correct for the pocket shape, epaulettes, or the label sewn with black thread and no size tag.

John Chapman from good wear contacted me and it is a jacket made by Mark Fisher of NorShor Leather. It has a good wear tag which John said he had provided on occasions for Mark. Really is a lovely A-2 from one of Johns old patterns made by Mark a fair few years ago I imagine. I’m going to try contact mark next to try find out more but I think it’s horsehide and although different to my eastman and aero a-2 jackets, I think I prefer it, has that sort of lighter hide feel of a real original a-2 jacket and the fit and hardware is spot on

I could be wrong but that looks like Goatskin to me.
It could be goatskin, it’s one of those where it’s really hard to tell what it is of the two. It’s very nice leather either way. Want to try figure out the exact spec
