Cagleco G-1 28657 Contract

I just bought a Cagleco G-1 in excellent condition. Leather is close to mint, fur collar is excellent and there were a few holes in the waistband that I managed to fix pretty well. Zipper is perfect. Overall a hardly used G-1. It is marked a size 42 but fits a tad bigger (pit to pit is 23.5" and shoulders 20"). I believe this contract number is from fiscal year 1955, is that correct?
I am amazed at how shorter in the body G-1s are in comparison to the M-422A. In my case it is a good thing as lots of M-422As are way too long in the body (especially the G&F). If I had the same pit to pit measurements with a M-422A I would not need to wear pants anymore.
It is named to Sekeres S. 460-34 55. Any idea what the number is? I don't have any info on the original owner so if anyone can help that would be fantastic.

The 28657A Cagleco contract was awarded in the 1956 fiscal year, so it could date from the second half of 1955. What a beauty! It's a great G-1 in such well preserved condition. Enjoy!

That's a beauty you've got there! G-1s have always been my favorite jacket, not just because I was in the Navy, but they are so much more comfortable to wear than an A-2.

Thanks guys. It is a great jacket. I wore it the whole day today and it is very comfortable. They are indeed more practical than A-2s.
