Gents,
Just a quick post about a passion project of mine, that I turned out over the weekend. I have always liked this jacket, but could not get it in my size. That said, I also like the black version, but brown is so much more rare for a moto jacket style... all combined to make me want to crank out this little bad boy for my own winter uses.
Since it is not very cold in Tulsa, even in the winter, I chose to go with a cotton flannel lining instead of the original heavy weight wool in the same "buffalo plaid". Main zipper is an original, late 40's Prentice, which would be correct for this style with Buco. Conmar and or Talons are usually seen on originals for the pockets as well as the sleeve end zips. I went with Talon sleeve zips and my Waldes copies for the diamond chain pocket zips.
