"AVG Flying Tigers" M422A jacket

If he'd joined the 14th he wouldn't/shouldn't have the AVG insignia. Without firm provenence it is way too risky to go for such a jacket; so many were similarly painted up during the 1970's and would now look aged and old enough to pass as genuine WW2. The jury's out.

Since the AVG disbanded in July of '42 and the first W&G M-422a contract wasn't issued til '41 it's a bit of a stretch to think they were wearing em in China that quickly. It's more likely they were wearing the earlier M-422's (W&G or Monarch). Just my opinion!
