I'm no expert, but I believe they are pre-war talons.

I agree with Chris - pre-war zippers. What are those zippers on; some sort of equipment bag? Just curious...

WW II .....non-locking, typically seen on cloth jackets ( B -10, "Gear UP!" pg 87) and AN-6505-1 Aviators Kit Bags.
