APH-5? So many helmets I can't nail it down dammit

Made my wife stop on the way out of town at a tiny convenience store parking lot flea market. I said pull in here babe, never know what I'll find. Here she is as I walked up to the car holding my helmet :roll:

Anyway for 75 bucks (it killed me) what do I have here?

You got it right.

It has the later (for these helmets) visor release knob and oxygen mask receivers, but those upgrades/modifications are common to see. It is neat with the guys name tag on the back....you don't see that very often. Having that, you might be able to track down when the guy wore it, but as a guess, I think you are plus or minus 1960....but not by much in either direction....and most likely just this side of it.
