This is a 1947 USN jacket, Marcel .... Spec AN6552 (AN-J-3a).

The AN-J-3 is the mysterious jacket with no mouton, and no label.

Yes, mostly ... the Foster was the last contract for the AN-J-3A (N383S 1035), all the earlier contracts are prefixed N288S.

Next in the sequence is N383S 5299 Spec. 55J14 Burjac Sportswear Inc. dated the same fiscal year.
