Aircraft At the CAF Hangar ( CAF II )

Here is the second post on the AC at the Central Texas Wing hangar in San Marcos, Texas.
These plances all fly, and most of them I've seen at airshows for many years. The Japanese planes participate in the Tora Tora Tora gigs.

Looking at the CAF site, I see now that the Japanese planes are actually heavily modified American aircraft. They were both put together for the movie Tora Tora Tora.
The Kate is an AT-6 with a BT-13 tail and modified canopy, and it looks like the Zero may have been built from the ground up.

if you look at the wings where the gear struts are attached you can see a very distinctive lump/bulge goint all round the wing
