Aero Type A-2 fit questions

Yep.
The "Straigntjacket" fit and look are where it's at! ;)

You'll see A2 fits all over the board in old photos from WW2.
If if's comfortable to you and you like the look, then it's good.
If not, not.

I have had several Aero jackets, normally wear a 42 but have always ordered a size larger for a good fit (at least for me). I still have a 40-xxx which is a 44 and fits great.

You say you got a deal on the jacket?' I think it looks fine

Yes. I got a heck of a deal so if it fits a little tight and is a little short I'm not very upset. It's very wearable and isn't uncomfortable except when I hug myself. Since I don't buy into that self-esteem crap anyways, I consider the jacket very wearable. It's starting to break in nicely after less than a month of near-constant wear and I completed a 14-hour road trip wearing it without it being uncomfortable or causing fatigue.

I just need to get some repro high-waisted Chinos as the jacket is right at the belt line of my Levis 501s and my Bill's M2s.
