Hi guys,
I also picked this up on the used market pretty recently. I call it "The Beast". Again do any of you give your jacket's nicknames, or am I just weird?
Hercules CXL steerhide brown shearling lined/alpaca
It weighs more than 10 Lbs. I couldn't possibly wear it in the CA. Bay Area. Although, I'me getting ready to retire to the mountains of Northern New Mexico, so I am planning ahead. It was virtually unworn when I bought it, and talk about pain breaking in a CXL. Out of desperation I ran it under running hot water in the shower. There is no way that I am going take a bath wearing raw selvedge jeans, and CXL HH and wear it wet to fit to my body.
So, I put it in front of my heater, rotating it from time to time. Then turned it inside out to complete the drying process.
Low and behold, when I turned it inside out, I thought.....It looks like a Grizzly. So.I put it on inside out.
What do you think of this fashion statement?
Happy New Year!
