A2 worn by Air Traffic Controller in Airplane!

Currently watching Airplane! 1980, anyone catch the A2 being worn by one of the Air Traffic Controllers? Anyone know the unit it was patched too, etc?

The cuffs make me skeptical of maybe a mall jacket of some sort, though I could be wrong.

I'll second the mall jacket theory. Also the diagonal cut of the sleeve at the shoulder.

Looks like the 103rd Bomb Squadron patch to me.

Looks like it's got a one piece back and correct pockets, at least! Seen the patch, and the general worn status, could it be a civilian made jacket used during the Korean War, or a military one with new cuffs?
