A2 Deck Jacket USS SPERRY in XL

Latest purchase on E PAY A2 formerly used by Mr. CROZIER on the USS PERRY

The jacket was less than 100 bucks but after another review of the photos i have some question marks here and there:
- the frontal photo displaying the jacket with patch and name-lable seems to be messed with (jacket label not visible, odd line on the right chest)

- size they measured with chest 22 inch does not fit the dimensions of an actual A2 deckjacket in XL

I checked the vendor with 13 positive feedbacks since March 2024 and hope i didn't fall for a fraud

Well since the price was ridicolous and since the jacket would be an even better fit in size 44 i'm still looking forward to see whatever will be delivered

I will keep ya posted ...

Pictures are poor, but the jacket looks fine.

Making and sewing custom patches seems like a lot of effort to fake a $95 jacket from the supply officer of a submarine tender.

The question was not if the patch or nametag is real but if the jacket exist per se …

Yes the A-2 deck jacket exists(ed).. As per my comments above.. the legit ones have visible buttons when closed, a kind of Alpaga liner and those web tapes for the waist attachment.
Could see the tapes but not the others in the photos .. since the pics are not so clear ( another member mentioned it as well ).

Super cool A2's Thomas congrats, looks like a great collection! As you are into deck jackets a quick question, maybe some other knowledgeable collectors would add some comments on this.

How often UDT patched A2 emerges online with a early to late 60's UDT provenience?

An interesting (but not patched A2) picture, where UDT-22 members have a Army style jump wings patches, not a para USN/USMC.

Is it (Army style jump wings) ot due to the fact that Airborne school for UDT was at the Fort Benning?

Sorry for off topic and THX!
