Just thought I'd start a thread to share British civi jackets.
These would have been worn in the 30s and 40s. A nice mix of French cycliste and American aviator styling.
This is my contribution - a pre war jacket.
Beautifully soft capeskin.
I know British companies sold leather jackets during the war as there was obviously a demand for aviator/bomber jackets. With so many US airmen based in Britain during the war I wonder how many of those private purchase A2s were made in Britan, if any

Speaking from the motorcycle side of things......alot of British leather jackets were quite "flimsy" due to being made from cape/sheepskin, which makes it hard to find originals in wearable condition
