This was my first flight jacket I purchased in 1988. I was a starving medical student and saw these A-2 copy jackets at a Masion Blanche store. It was $90 which was a huge sum of money for me at the time. Decided I didn’t need to eat for a few day and purchased it. I was able to find patches to complete a CBI jacket but they were all horrible except for the Blood Chit that looked pretty good. Just this week I had a good quality CBI patch and AAF patch by Miroslav Sekulich sewn on. Name tag in English and Chinese by Jim Buchanan. No idea where I got the 23rd fight group patch. This jacket has 100’s of hours of wear and it shows. Not too bad for a seamed back department store knockoff.
Just had to use Pecard Leather cream, starting to dry out a bit, pics before rubbing in Pecards Leather Dressing.
