If the painted insignia is original to the jacket it certainly makes it a rare beast. It is in quite good condition, but has been repaired at some stage with various leather patches and the one on the chest is quite crudely sewn on. The 1950s Crown zipper is of course a later replacement. I have owned examples of this 1942 HLB contract and they usually have a triple marked Talon zip. The seller is correct when he suggests it shouldn't be worn.

You can do better keep your money until a better one comes along ! that would be my advice .Andrew points out all the faults with it quite rightly ,so it not even 100% stock .
