Not a big A-1 fan. I think they were originally made of capeskin. Not many repros are close to the original. Having said that, there are no originals left. Due to the capeskin construction.

No, not a a penniless gentleman of the road seeking shelter, it’s me! I had the audacity to wear an Eastman jacket while doing the usual equine chores this morning. It’s enough to give a repro jacket geek a heart attack, what with wearing a top tier maker example in the rain and also working with mucky animals eh. As you know I rarely worship at the altar of ‘thou shalt only wear thy jackets in sterile indoor conditions protected from rain, wind and snow’
