Yeah its not too bad today, in the 30s, the gloves were WW2 USN gloves, I did wear those last week when it was 6 degrees out. Got lucky on the jacket and gloves, doesnt happen that often anymore. Just have to keep looking.

ouch, you spotted it...
it's a replacement zipper from YKK IIRC.
the original one broke about 20 years ago and I had it replaced long before I knew anything about different, original, repro or other appropriate zips.
I am toying with the idea of having the zip replaced with a decent fitting one again but then again, as the jacket is rather old by now, I don't know if it's worth the trouble...

the zip works great, it has served me well in all those years and it does not really detract from the whole "presence" of the jacket
