Very nice jacket.

I had the same thoughts after considering buying a nice but distressed G1 and replacing its badly damaged waistband. Purchasing a new one, finding a good craftsman to do the job turned out to be more expensive and time consuming.

I have opposite experience with selling few very nice jackets and regretting to do so. About 30 years ago, when in high school I was very interested in US military jackets and had some. But later I decided to sell them because it was no longer my hobby. I regret selling especially a slant pocket...

Beautiful collection! The only response I can think of is the photograph I took some time ago; it features only cold weather jackets (with except for one L-2B and another CWU36p) but I think all BDUs, shirts and slant-pockets cannot wait.

I don't know, I thought they are 50s style but I don't have much knowledge about chevrons.

According to my knowledge, M1950 was manufactured for the very short time, a year or two. It is basically anM1943 jacket with inside buttons for a liner. It has also different size system with small, medium, large etc.

May Day holiday in the Beskid Niski mountains — the land of Lemkos (please read about this ethnic group if you are not familiar with it). The weather was good enough to take my beloved M1950 jacket.
