I remember when Banana Republic (back before it was purchased by The Gap) printed beautiful, hand painted catalogs detailing not only their clothing, but the adventures one might have while wearing it. I particularly remember the Macchu Picchu issue.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to check out Red Nichols, but man that guy is gone! Real gone! I might be ossified on that ol' strike-me-dead, but I ain't such a rummy that I cain't get a wiggle on with that jive, Jackson!

I have an Aero A-2 in goatskin, tagged size 42, in great shape. It had sold recently on eBay, but is coming back because it was too small for the buyer. It can be had for much less than $500 if you're interested.

Regarding its being an AAF jacket, it does have the high pockets...
Zoomer's photo of an airship officer finally put me over the top with A-1s. Here's a photo of the crew of the USS Akron relaxing in the mess:
I've read through this entire thread, but I still don't have a clear understanding of the A-1's collar variations. I thought I'd read that the navy...
Was just reviewing the A-1 thread, which naturally lead me to quickly peruse evilBay, when I came across this. Looks interesting. Has anyone seen one of these before?
