Thanks. I've got a 45p, but it's a large on me, and a warmer jacket than I need (I've an N-B2 if I need something heavy). Think I might pick up a 36p in medium, sell the 45p.
Ages ago my sister stopped at my place to change while on her way to a wedding. She left behind a pink, padded hanger, complete with bow. My Schott's been hanging on it ever since. Goofy as it seemed, it still appeared a better hanger for a valued jacket.
I'll have to pick up a few more.
I've been searching the pages for a jacket I remember from Europe some time ago, and this is the closest I've found.
I believe they wear Swedish flight jackets, leather with and asymmetric cut front, and toggle closures. An interesting characteristic was that one sleeve had an oversized pocket...
I've got one of these. As far as I know they're still in use, although small details (such as color) have changed over the years.
In Thunderball (1965) the aircrew of the Avro Vulcan are wearing them. Also, in the original Alien (1979), Mk IIIs are the base for the Nostromo flight jackets.
I'm also interested in seeing some pictures of this. I have a sage green CWU-45/p, but would like something similar for warmer temperatures.
Also, is the CWU-36p significantly lighter weight then the 45?

Occurs to me that it's unlikely a Douglas Devastator might have downed four Japanese aircraft, but that's what it appeared to be jusdging from the canopy. Must've been a Wildcat.
Little project last spring. I watched footage of the Lexington's discovery, including the Douglas with nose art. Inspired, I stenciled similar design on a plain stainless flask. It's a little rough, but I like it.
