Except, then what's the point of collecting vintage leather jackets? It's cheaper and much easier to just pick something up at the mall. No girl you'll ever meet will be able to tell the difference. In fact, most of them are wondering why your jacket doesn't have the map printed on the liner...
Thank God I'm out West and it never gets "really cold." But, it's been storm-after-storm for two week and highs are in the mid 20s, so I can handle a sideways look or two while staying dry and comfortable in the N-3B (plus I'm a skeezy ol' dude, so gear like a vintage N-3B is expected).
My G-1 was $26 on eBay (Sorry, I've posted this jacket a few time, but here are a few never-before-seen photos). It ain't in museum condition, but I'm a skeezy ol' guy that doesn't mind a little wear.
It snowed this weekend and will continue to snow for the next week. I broke out the N-3B and snapped some photos during a break.

In keeping with the title of this thread, here is my favorite G-1 -- also, my only. No tag, but the kind inhabitants of VLJ date this to any early to mid '60s. Enjoy.

Re: E or D series G-1
^Oh really.
The waist and cuffs do look to be in pretty good condition, so I'd buy that they are not original, even for a late '60s (that stuff seams to wear out). D series have a "western yoke" style pockets? Paperclip Conmar is also a Brill/'68 feature, right?
Re: E or D series G-1
Thanks Kev and Deeb, you made my day. I'm too excited about this one. My wife is sick of my dropping little bits of M-422A and G-1 trivia. She'll surely never get tired of Top Gun jokes when I wear it (hey, as long as she goes all Kelly McGillis when we get home, we're...
I just landed this G-1. I was looking for some 0G 107 pants and thought that $26 was a good price. I was pretty sure it was late '70s or '80s jacket, but as I've been looking around, I might of actually got a steal on the ePrey.
