The difference is that the jacket will have an actual chest measurement that is
4 inches larger than the tagged size.
The size 40 jacket for example will have an actual chest measurement of 44 inches.
This is the normal amount of movement room for a military fit.
I do agree that most people...
What kind of jacket is this? Its not a M41, but it has some of the same features
like a bi-swing back and adjustments at the waist and wrist. It looks like the outside is wool.
I really like this. Anyone know what it is?
Jim
This is kind of strange.
How many times, recently, have you seen kids wearing those really long shorts, that are almost
down past their calves, and these shorts have that "worn" look around the edges of the pockets,
and all the seams? And the cargo pockets that are all messy looking, with...
I finally got around to taking some pictures of this M-41 jacket.
Here is the tag inside the pocket:
Here's a front shot. Excuse the fu-fu hanger its on. I steal my wifes padded hangers for some of
my cotton jackets. They don't make marks in the shoulders...
I will try to get...
The old version or the new version? They are coming out with a new
version any day now, which has a better/heavier outer cotton shell, and
a 100 percent wool lining. Rollin says that his new version will be the closest
thing to an unissued original as possible.
Their old version has a...
Mine has both buttons on the sleeve so you can adjust the fit of the cuffs.
As a matter of fact, I like to put the adjusting flap on the second button
to tighten up the cuff. It makes the cuff look less huge.
That, and since my arms are about an inch shorter than usual, it makes
the...
I did see the suing part. And from what I read, it had to do with cotton jackets with
wool linings. Perhaps they meant the M-41? Who knows.
I do know that this jacket looks new, and it has none of the wild threads poking out from all over
that most repro jackets do.
The buttons look...
I got it from a guy on e-bay with this name: dakproppierr
He is in the US, and seems to have sold quite a bit of repro military stuff
in the last few weeks.
This Beacon Wear jacket zips up in the "american" side like the ATF version,
but after looking at it for awhile, I can see a few...
I just bought an M-41 from a guy on e-bay who told me that the jacket was made by
At The Front when I inquired about it prior to bidding on it.
But when I got the jacket, the tag inside the pocket says it made by the "Beacon Wear
Clothing Mfg Co."
So, anyone know who makes this Beacon Wear...
Those cracks almost look like something hot melted the outer layer.
Very weird.
I have one crack up near the collar, on the windflap, that looks just
like all of yours. Its kind of jagged, and about 1.5 mm wide. I fixed that
with the shoe polish/leather conditioner.
All the rest I have...
If what you have are just cracks in the outer colored acrylic surface of the jacket,
and NOT in the actual sheepskin, then its not a structural thing, and even though
the crack is right next to the sleeve seam, its not a real problem.
These jackets get cracks in the outer acrylic layer all...
The Antique version of Pecards contains some brown coloring to it, similar
to shoe polish, so that it can hide scratchs and scuff marks on older leather
items.
Its just like the regular standard Pecards, only with the coloring.
At least thats what they told me about a month ago.
