Thanks guys. The jacket belonged to navigator on a B-17. I've been told that the artwork was done by a local in Italy, which may explain why it looks nothing like a B-17. Maybe it is simply crew or personal art as suggested.

I recently lucked into what I believe is Alan's (Persimmon) old Good Wear Monarch. The jacket is a bit snug as you can see in the photos, but it's my understanding that jackets of this contract were more slender than others. I just have one pic so far, but I'll upload more eventually.

@Dr. H I agree with you in that the seal/dark seal plus berry knits are the way to go, but I don't think the Badalassi hides have the reddish undertones commonly seen on original Aeros.
