We usually were called "load toads". The BB stackers were the Ammo guys that brought the bombs, missiles, ammo, and chaff/flare to the jets for us. They were pretty much our rivals in our career fields. ;)
Part of my job when I loaded B-52Gs was servicing the guns. We would load the ammo and then run the rounds up to the guns and and stow the turret. After the Buff landed, we would disconnect chutes to each gun, then catch the chambered rounds as we ejected them under the turret. Finally we...
That's quite a collection! I love those C&C zippers on the MA-1s. Much better than the Conmar clips. Your lucky to find such gems at yard sales.
*Hey, I worked F-4s too! F-4Gs at Spangdahlem just before they retired them in early 90s. Loved working that old bird! ;)

Those early N-2Bs with mic tabs are rare indeed. Much more rare than equivalent N-3Bs. Took me a very long time to find one in good condition. Nice find! ;)
Really sad to hear this news. He shared so much of his knowledge with us and made great contributions to this forum. Peace my friend and godspeed.

The N-2A and N-3A Aviators Clothing had made a run of these utilizing mouton from N-2s and N-3s. Super, super rare find these days. Even this rough...
Prices for these can be all over the place. $50-$80 would be a great deal on this jacket. Decent price would be $80-$130. Anything over $130 and I would consider as not the best deal in town. Just my two cents. ;)
The more valuable N-2Bs are the earliest versions with mic tabs and Air...

Should I tell this seller, it's not rare and has had hood fur replaced?
