Dan McQuality used to offer a painted wing and star and printed AAF on his web site but now it's just a wing and star with no feathering on the wings and no printed AAF. I see it looks like Josh does it but then he's in Germany isn't he?
He was going to paint the wing and star with AAF printed...
Who can paint the Wing and Star with Army Air Force printed out underneath it so it looks exactly like the Wing & Star Decal with feathering on the wings and etc, on a Horsehide A-2 flight jacket sleeve?
Does anyone know who paints the Wing & Star with feathered wings and Army Air Force printed underneath the wing & star on the shoulder of A-2 flight jackets?
Thanks
Mike
I love my new G&B goat A-2 a size 48 Long and they didn't charge me $25 to $35 dollars more for the large long size either and I've also had 2 late 1970's Cockpit A-2's when they made really nice A-2's, with rich color and presentable detail and fit and then an Eastman A-2 and also 5 original WW...
My first original jacket was an A-2 that was my dads in WW II in the Air Corps and I wore it to grade school in the 1950's, it might have had a leather name tag on it but I can't remember. I do have a picture of him wearing an M-39 with a leather name tag but he didn't bring it home from the...

I contacted Jerome and he's a great guy and I thank you for letting me know about him and I have recommended him to my friends.
I wanted him to paint the AAF meatball on the sleeve of my new A-2 and I wanted the AAF letters to be perfect like the decal letters are and then to my...
How do I contact the Artist to have the AAF & Meatball painted on the sleeve of my A-2?
There's an artist called Dan McQuality that paints A-2's and says that because he uses more expensive paint with flex in it that he guarantee's the paint will never chip, peel or fade, ever which is what I...
Who did you send your jacket to to have the wing and star painted on? If the painter can copy the decal with the feathering on the wings and the Army Air Force lettering under the wing and star "exactly" like the decal I think it would be better then the decal and paint can always be touched up...
I agree too.
Granted, in WW II, I'm sure some Enlisted and Officers would go to the PX and buy better fitting military shirts and pants then ones that were issued or had to buy, in the case of officers and I think even my dad who was an AAF crew chief did it but I really doubt they'd be that...
Who would be the best person to send my new A-2 flight jacket to, to have a leather squadron patch and leather name tag correctly sewn on it?
Thanks
