WWII Tanker Jacket $3.4K?

A nice taker jacket from a guy who was semi-famous, but $3.4K?

The label has "tanker type" on it, so is this like the B-15 jackets with "type" on them that are civilian made? The lining is not made of blanket material, so I'm assuming it is civilian.

If you follow the "sellers other items" link on either jacket, you will find more of Lattimer's stuff. All of it is pricey and should have been kept together IMO.

The civil one is $80 tops worth and the ww2 one, maybe ten times that but no more. Still why not score a few K off some dead old dudes reluctance to throw his old crap out.
That's what it smacks of to me.
